Jomsom Trek - Exploring Mid Western Nepal

Forbidden Land of Mustang, once inaccessible, the forbidden land of Mustang has finally been opened to a limited number of visitors. Mustang is one of the very few places on earth which is not spoilt by tourists. Being under the rain shadow of the Himalaya, the area receives scanty rainfall making the region dry and arid very similar to the adjoining Tibetan plateau. The journey starts and ends at Kagbeni village.

Note: All trips into Mustang are accompanined by HMG Liasion officer. A special permit is required by all foreigners to enter all districts of Mustang. The quota limit has been fixed at 1000 heads per season.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu, rest of the day at leisure
Day 02: Full day sightseeing of Kathmandu and Patan city
Day 03: Half day sightseeing of Bhaktapur city and trip briefing in the evening
Day 04: Fly Kathmandu/Pokhara, overnight at hotel
Day 05: Fly Pokhara to Jomsom and commence 10 days trek
Day 15: End trek at Jomsom and camp for overnight
Day 16: Ely Jomsom/Pokhara /Kathmandu
Day 17: Free day for individual activities
Day 18: Transfer to the airport for the final departure
