DHAULAGIRI
TREK
Mount
Dhaulagiri in central Nepal is the seventh highest peak in
the world which shadows over the Kali Gandaki river that flows
in between Annapurna Massif and this awesome peak. This trek
journey through Nepal's wildest and most remote areas where
the mountain scenery is simply breathtaking. It is one of
the longest treks and is suitable only for those with some
mountaineering skills or for the physically fit. The trip
is advised only in autumn as winter and spring are formidable
due to excessive show and ice conditions.
Itinerary
Day
01: Arrive Kathmandu. Rest of the day at leisure
Day 02: Full day sightseeing of Kathmandu and Patan
city
Day 03: Drive kathmandu/Pokhara, camp at Naudanda
Day 04: Commence 21 days trek
Day 24: End trek at Lumle and drive to Pokhara. Overnight
at the hotel
Day 25: Fly from Pokhara back to Kathmandu
Day 26: Free day for individual activities
Day 27: Transfer to the airport for the final departure
GHOREPANI
- POONHILL - GHANDRUNG TREK
Provides
splendid views of MT. Fishtail, Annpurna and Dhaulagiri range.
Day
1 Pokhara - Birethanti - Tikhedunga.
One hour drive to Birethanti (Alt. 1100 m.) Situated along
the Modi River. People are very friendly and series of four
water fall provide excellent swimming. The trail ascends to
Tikhedunga.
Day
2. Tikhedunga - Ghorepani (2850 m.)
It is a steep climb to Ghorepani from Tikhedunga Ghorepani
is one of the most popular villages along the Annapurna Circuit.
Many trekkers, who do not trek the whole circuit, still make
it is Ghorepani to view a magnificent panorama of the Himalaya
peaks. It is actually situated at the ridge separating the
valley of kali Gandaki from the valley of Modi river and is
one of the highest point along the whole trek if you do not
have include the Thorangpass. Almost all of villages are Magars.
Day
03 Ghorepani - Tadapani.
Early morning your guide will take you to Poonhill excussion
(3210m) one-hour climb. One can have the excellent views of
30 peaks of Himalayas and in spinning best views of Rhododendron
flowers in its vicinity or in the trail in between Ghorepani
Ghandrung. The red one called 'Lali Guras' is the national
flower of Nepal. 4- 5 hours gradual descends to Tadapani.
Day
04. Tadapani - Ghandrung or Chhomorong
Ghandrung ( 2012 m ) it is the most interesting tribal Gurung
village in Nepal, which has provided Gorkha soldiers. It has
excellent close -up views of Annapurna South, Machhapurchhe
and Himachuli.
Day
05. Ghandrung - Pothana or Pokhara.
A great view of Annapurna and Machhapure Himal.
Day
06. Pothana - Pokhara
Descends ot Phedi and drive back to Pokhara and overnight
at hotel.
